BKN is celebrating after new ratings in the UK for its Dork Hunters from Outer Space property continued to grow on Sundays within the four to nine age group.
The show has increased its performance in its fifth week on air on GMTV’s Toonattik block, becoming the fifth highest rated show in Britain (boys four to nine, BARB).
On the weekend of September 13th and 14th, Dork Hunters rated in a tied position for fifth place with Disney’s American Dragon. It was behind only Nickleodeon’s Spongebob Squarepants, Warner’s Scooby-Doo and Batman, plus Cartoon Network’s Ben 10.
“The Dorks are a very welcome addition to our top rating Toonattik brand – the kids are cool, the fish is funny and the Chihuahua makes me chuckle,” said Mark Wilson, head of GMTV Kids.
Nicola Andrews, MD of BKN New Media, added: “The show has improved every week since its launch on August 17th. We now eagerly await the release of our Dork Hunters merchandise into UK shops.”
