BBC Worldwide has signed up Vivid Imaginations as the UK master toy licensees for new pre-school show, ZingZillas.
The 52x22-minute musical show is being produced in-house by Cbeebies. It is currently in production at Pinewood until December. BBC Worldwide holds global distribution rights for TV, merchandise, DVD and publishing.

"This is a milestone property for us and this major deal symbolises our ambition to put ZingZillas at the forefront of the pre-school market," said Tom Keefer, SVP of global licensing at BBC Worldwide Children's and Licensing. "Vivid demonstrated unparalleled creative vision and passion for ZingZillas throughout the pitch process and we are thrilled to be partnering with them as our master toy licensee."
Nick Austin, chairman at Vivid, added: "We all feel that the music, energy and characterisation in the show will convert strongly into toy sales in 2010 and for many years to come."
