BLE 09: Norton signs direct to retail apparel deal

Norton and Newman International Group in Australia have signed a direct to retail apparel deal.

The new project will take the brand to a chain of mid-market menswear and childrens wear stores throughout Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong.

The initial Limited Edition Range will launch in stores in time for Christmas 2009 with childrens wear to follow in early 2010.

Newman International Group has also recently signed a deal for Norton with Bianti Models for diecast models with the new 961 Commando SE being the first model off the line.

Newman International group managing Director, Julie Hartigan said “We have received an overwhelming response to the launch of the brand in the market and have a number of exciting developments in the pipeline which we will announce shortly.”

Tony Norton chairman of Norton Global Brands added "The welcome we have received for the Norton brand globally has been tremendous.

"The new Commando is ready in the next four weeks and it will be the beginning of a new era in this iconic brand around the World."
