HarperCollins Publishers has made a string merchandising agreements with three groups – McLaggan Smith Mugs, Green Board Games and Arnold Wills – as part of an extensive plan to expand the Collins brand.
HarperCollins’ deals will materialise in the form of card games, mugs, and a selection of men and women’s gifts and accessories.
Melanie Beer, the head of licensing at HarperCollins, said Smith Mugs, Green Board Games and Arnold Wills were the first licensees of the Collins Geo brand.
“These licensees have been selected for their design expertise, which coupled with HarperCollins’ market-leading map content, should ensure all product ranges are an on-shelf hit,” she added.
McLaggan Smith Mugs and Green Board Games will be using the brand for their specialist products. Arnold Wills, meanwhile, will be creating an eclectic range of gift items for the male and female markets, from belts to cufflinks, to handkerchiefs, wallets, travel accessories, wash bags, manicure sets and cosmetic bags.
