BLE 2010: Paul Smith collaboration inked by Royal Opera House
The Royal Opera House has signed four new licences ahead of Brand Licensing Europe - including one with British fashion designer Paul Smith.
Smith and ROH have inked a deal which will see the designer sell limited edition photographic prints of 17 principals of The Royal Ballet.
The photographs were taken by Smith, with the prints being available in two sizes in Paul Smith exhibitions and shops over the world and online.
On top of this, luxury fragrance and toiletries firm Berkeley Square will create an exclusive range of products endorsed by The Royal Ballet, including foot and body creams and a new fragrance.
Under the ROH brand, Flametree Publishing is producing classic calendars featuring imagery of Margot Fonteyn and Rudolf Nureyev at the height of their partnership. Finally, Union Hand Roasted Coffee has acquired the licence to produce coffee gift sets.
"Our licensing programme has seen substantial growth this year, showing the strength of our brand," said Stephen Michael, MD of Royal Opera House Enterprises. "These new partnerships are extremely exciting and have opened up significant new categories for us."
