Turner CN Enterprises has been appointed the exclusive licensing agent for Zodiak Games’ boys trading game Redakai.
The deal will see TCNE represent Redakai across Europe, Middle East and Africa, with plans to licence the game “for all non-toy related categories across EMEA”.
France is excluded from the deal however, and will instead be handled by Zodiak Kids.
TCNE VP Alan Fenwick said: “This deal is significant as we continue to invest in innovative content for boys while building on our third party partnerships with creative industry leaders such as Zodiak Kids.”
Senior VP at Zodiak Patricia De Wilde added “Turner’s track record in the boys’ market makes them perfectly placed to take Redakai to the next level following its North American success on television and as a master toy range.”
Redakai is a trading card game with 3D effects for children aged six to 11.
A television series based on the property was launched in the US on the Cartoon Network in July, and will be released across most European territories early next year.
Cartoon Network Enterprises is the exclusive licensing agent for the property in the US and Canada.
