The licensing rights for Doodlemum, a blogger with a popular online sketchbook, will now be handled by the Creative Rights Agency after it was appointed for the job by LAW Writers’ and Artists’ Agents.
Doodlemum already has a major book deal with publisher Hodder and Stoughton and Doodlemum: A Year of Family Life will hit the shelves before Mother’s Day in March 2013, with a follow-up children’s book destined for autumn 2013.
Alongside the books, discussions for a Doodlemum calendar are under way with plans for further products in stationary, home ware and craft to arrive throughout 2013 and 2014.
“This is Forever Friends for the Mumsnet generation,” says Richard Scrivener, MD of Creative Rights.
“Doodlemum captures all the warmth and chaos of family life with tender and appealing drawings.”
Creative Rights is previewing the property at Brand Licensing Europe.
