With a staggering 4,000 images in her portfolio, Linda Wood (stand AD54) is likely to have something to suit most people looking to licence art or photography at Brand Licensing.
Her company already has a strong licensing programme in place, with licensees on board formal art, tabletop, fabrics, ceramics and stationery in a range of territories.
The programme begun in 2004, when, eager to do something new, Wood decided to produce a collection of images suitable for wall art. She showed these at Surtex in New York that year and was approached by a number of print publishers from both the UK and the US.
Wood decided to work with a UK-based firm for ease of communications and art publisher, Rosentials in London, signed up in autumn 2004. The first collection consisted of 20 images and she still works with the company today, where the range has extended to 131 images.
The firm is now hoping to expand its licensing programme at BLE.
Wood explains: "Brand Licensing Europe provides a great opportunity to expand licensing to new customers, markets and products."
The portfolio is very varied in its styles and ranges from florals right through to contemporary and retro images.
Once Wood had graduated from De Montfort University, Leicester, she set up a design agency, selling her own and other designers' work to the textile and wallpaper industries.
After a number of successful years as an agent, Wood decided to return to her roots as a designer and in 2001, she started Designs by Linda Wood.
Upon returning to her design roots, Wood found a passion for photography and began to include her photographic work in her portfolio too.
To date, the photographic work has been very successful also and she has recently sold an entire portfolio of photographs to a UK publisher, who will soon release a Linda Wood branded range of images.
