Dimensional Entertainment was founded in March 2006 as Fifth Dimension Art Studio, which commissioned work for companies worldwide.

In time, the firm began publishing its own work and its first title Demon Prince, was launched under its own Dimensional imprint and distributed by comic distributor, Diamond Comic Distributors.

Earlier this year, Dimensional formally began trading as Dimensional Entertainment. Following a successful launch of Dimensional and Fifth Dimension Art Studio, the firm is now promoting the new ‘Pwanda’ range of titles.

In May, Pwanda was released in the UK and is mainly sold online with the help of affiliations with Anime League Forum, which has in excess of 17,000 online subscribers.

The company has also secured sales and distribution deals with Midpoint Trade Books in the US to begin in October; with Keeta, as a mobile phone platform in China from December and with Txtnation to supply character images on the mobile to customers worldwide from January 2010.

At Brand Licensing, the firm is looking to build on this programme and introduce the full Pwanda range - Pwanda, Mech Pilot Pwanda, Pirate Pwanda, Samurai Pwanda along with a preview of the kids’ range of Pwanda titles currently in production.

Subodh Dhanda, director of operations, says: “We are looking to complement our current achievements by exploring licences in merchandise, toys, games, animation and film. Dimensional Entertainment will also attend Licensing International Expo in Las Vegas for 2010 to expand the franchise in USA.”

The brand has welcomed positive comments from the industry. Richard Taylor, filmmaker, head of Weta Workshop and famous for working on titles such as the Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Chronicles of Narnia, comments: "Pwanda is ready to take on the world as Dil and his team have created a wonderful and kick-ass character to rival the most martial arts savvy of the Super bears. Go Pwanda.”

In addition, NEO Magazine says: "Pwandas are set to become an iconic mascot to the UK scene. With such significant endorsement, Pwanda and its follow up titles, featuring other characters and storylines, look set to take the scene and centre stage in UK, Europe and North America. These titles are set to sweep across countries worldwide for many years to come."
