Dream Entertainment (stand C078) has built up a portfolio of thousands of images under its Kitten Dream brand during its twelve years in business.

At BLE this year, the firm will bring these designs to the licensing industry.

Founded in 1998 by Ichiro Mizuno and ex-designer at Nintendo, Toyoshi Asami, the firm has built up a strong presence in a number of territories.

Beginning with a base in Japan, Dream Entertainment soon expanded, opening offices in Guangzhou city in 2004 along with bases in Beijing and Hong Kong.

Firmly established in these markets, the firm is now ready to spread its wings further. Programmes have already been initiated in Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and Singapore and is now looking to dip its toe into the European market.

BLE is Dream Entertainment's platform to move into this market and despite not having any broadcast animations in the territory, the firm still has high hopes.

Bill Chang, overseas licensing manager commented: "We hope to promote our Kitten Dream images worldwidely and especially in Europe, and if we are lucky enough, we would like to meet some companies who will cooperate with us for opening up the European market, including media promotion and licensing."

Dream Entertainment is already well-versed in licensing and its first licensee was Zhongshan 100-Fun, which specialises in art and craft products. The range of Kitten Dream products is still available now.
