Bues Clothing was honoured with an award for best design at Entertainment One's recent Peppa Pig licensee day.

Hannah Mungo, UK licensing and retail manager at eOne, said that the accolade reflected Blues' continued support for Peppa Pig, a relationship which has spanned six years.

"Peppa is such a delightful brand to work on," said Alison Martin, Blues' design director (pictured). "The variety of different themes delivered by the programming coupled with the degree of creative flexibility given by eOne, means that we can ensure the apparel lines are always on trend - this is critical within the current marketplace.

"The opportunity to mirror what we have established for girlswear with George Pig for boyswear has expanded ranges even further."

Mungo added: "This is a very well deserved award. Blues pull out all the stops to ensure that each Peppa design is fresh, on trend and different from anything created previously. Their utilisation of assets and translation of the brand onto garments is second to none and their creativity is respected by retailers and consumers alike."

Blues Clothing already has a solid 30-year+ history in the licensed apparel sector, however a management buy out last year (backed by Penta Capital and Allied Irish Bank) means that it now has the extra clout to push even further into the market.
