Hit Entertainment's new CGI Bob the Builder series - Ready, Steady, Build - has got off to a strong start, significantly increasing the average audience share on the same slot as last year.
Comparing ratings from the 08.43am 2009 slot to the same period of this year (April 12th to May 28th), the share for Bob the Builder: Ready, Steady, Build increased by over a third at 35 per cent.
In addition, Bob the Builder featured three times in BARB's weekly top ten programmes on Cbeebies during May, peaking at number four on Monday May 17th.
"We are delighted at the success the new series of Bob has had in building such a large audience," said Alison Homewood, Hit's EVP of worldwide programming. "The ratings are a clear indication that Bob the Builder continues to be a hugely popular brand for pre-schoolers.
"This strong performance of the new series provides an excellent foundation for Hit's plans to continue to grow the brand both on TV and through its licensing programme."
