Pesky Productions has secured new deals to take its pre-school property Boj to France and the US.
Boj will air in France on France 5, with the series set to launch on Saturday, October 18th before broadcasting Monday to Sunday at 7:15am.
In the US, Boj will air on Sprout at 9:20am with additional plays every day at 1.30pm and 5.15pm. A further 24 episodes will broadcast up this season.
“It’s a real coup that we have achieve such strong slots for a non-domestic TV show on Sprout and France 5, and we are delighted such top-notch channels have seen how Boj will work for them," said David Hodgson, producer and co-creator of Boj.
"Securing these multiple slots and this combined with the launch on France 5 confirms that this UK TV show champions universal themes that can win the hearts of audiences around the world.”
This follows the sale of Boj to Yoopa in Canada and the already 'excellent' launch of the show in the UK on CBeebies back in May.
"We're delighted to introduce Boj and his buddies to US audiences," said Andrew Beecham, senior vice president of programming at Sprout.
"Boj has a great sense of adventure, fun, and can do spirit that kids will fall in love with."
Claire Heinrich, head of youth programming acquisitions at France Televisions, added: “We were seduced by the "out of the box" way of thinking and positive attitude of Boj, the newcomer, and we are happy to welcome the show on France 5 - launching in less than two weeks’ time now."
