The Bologna Licensing Trade Fair - 'the only licensing event in Italy' - is gearing up for its 'biggest event ever' with top Italian retail companies and exhibitors already confirmed.

Among those attending this year are some of the biggest names in the Italian licensing retail industry, including: Carrefour, La Feltrinelli, Fragos and Coop.

The event also boasts more than 400 brands from companies such as Dracco, Automobili Lambourghini Penguin Publishing Group, Planeta Junior and Sega.

Furthermore, in celebration of the seventh annual event and its second annual Licensing Retail Day, the organisers are offering free tickets to visit the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair and Bologna Children's Book Fair.

• THE NEW FASHION BUSINESS AREA
A fully equipped business area, devoted to fashion companies wishing to undertake trademarks extension projects of their own brands, as well as seeking partners in the context of licensing and consumer products. There will be dedicated services before and during the fair.

• THE 2nd EDITION OF LICENSING RETAIL DAY - March 26th, 2014
Bologna Licensing Trade Fair is confirming the appointment with the Licensing Retail Day on March 26th 2014. It is a unique event of its kind that consists of a full day entirely dedicated to distribution. It starts with a morning devoted to in-depth seminars on latest trends related to the distribution of licensed products and franchise. The afternoon will follow up with fully structured 'speed date' meetings between selected retailers and exhibitors. In this edition the number of retailers involved has increased: we expect the participation of 20 key players in this field, including representatives of international distribution.
This event is organised in cooperation with the magazine Largo Consumo, which focuses on the analysis of the relationship between industry and trade.

• INTERNATIONAL LOUNGE
It is a business area with a special hostess service, whose goal is to give high visibility to foreign companies that do not have an Italian company branch, but who are interested in starting a new business in the Italian market.

• 'CONTAMINAZIONI' – SPECIAL EXHIBITION AREA
For this second year we are offering visitors an exhibition about company prototypes and products, from design to fashion, from art to accessories, which will lead the forthcoming trend in branding and licensing.

• A GREAT EVENTS PROGRAMME AT THE SCREENING ROOM
This year the Fair opens its rich programme of events with the keynote speaker Susan Bolsover, head of licensing, Penguin Publishing Group (UK) that will focus on the metamorphosis of big international publishers towards licensing. We will also dedicate an extended space to preschool-age novelties, which will be key players in the next season. As always great attention will be given to international opportunities for Italian companies: this year's areas of interest will be Asia - Hong Kong and South America – Brazil. We will focus on the excellences of Italian and European cartoons/animation too.

Event Preview: Bologna Licensing Trade Fair
