Happy Films is celebrating further award success for its Bookaboo property, with the hit ITV show scooping the gong for Best Children's Television Series at the Broadcast Awards.
Each episode of the show - licensed by CPLG - features a celebrity who goes back stage with the rock puppy to share a story. The aim of the show is to encourage children and parents to share a love of reading and books.
Since first airing last year, it has picked up 1.7 million viewers, plus a Children's BAFTA in the Best Pre-school Live Action category.
Lucy Goodman, MD of Happy Films and creator and producer of Bookaboo, said: "I'm thrilled that the upper end of Bookaboo's age group has been recognised with a Broadcast Best Children's Programme award. It's such a lovely compliment to the pre-school BAFTA awarded such a short time ago and proves that Bookaboo truly does have a paw in both the 'pre' and 'at' school camps."
Vickie O'Malley, MD of CPLG UK, added: "Bookaboo is a fantastic multi-platform show and it's great that it's been recognised by another top award. From a licensing point of view it offers tremendous potential."
