Born to Shop heads to South Africa

Lifestyle brand grows internationally following deal with Revolution Licensing.

Paper Island's art and design lifestyle brand Born to Shop is continuing to grow internationally, following the appointment of Revolution Licensing (formerly CLP) as its agent for South Africa.

The territory joins Germany, Australia and the US in Paper Island's growth plan.

"Revolution is extremely proud and excited to be representing the Born to Shop brand for the South African market," said Lee Radmall, director at the company. "We believe that the quality of the artwork combined with the quirkiness of the creative concepts offers our licensing partners something quite unique.

"The initial response from the market has been very positive and we are confident that we can build a substantial licensing programme around Born to Shop."

Allison Myers, licensing sales manager at Paper Island, added: "We looked at what Revolution have achieved for other licensors in South Africa and were impressed by the quality of relationships they have built with clients and retailers over the years.

"The Revolution sales team really get the humour of our brand and we know we have made the right choice for the brand management of Born to Shop."
