BOYS MONTH: Disney unveils Tron merchandise plan

Action figures, electronics, gaming accessories and a fashion line all planned for Legacy.

Disney has unveiled its product range to complement the upcoming film, Tron: Legacy.

The collection will include a mix of toys, computer peripherals and electronics, plus fashion, beauty and stationery items.

The fashion line will feature a limited edition Tron Pit Boss and Tron 3D GasCan from Oakley, a range of New Era baseball caps and adult dress-up from Rubie's.

In addition, H&A has developed a range of beauty products, available from January 2011, including wash bag gift sets, hair gel and re-charge bath and shower gel.

Meanwhile, the Tron: Legacy electronics line includes key licensees Guillemot, Monster and Razer.

Guillemot has designed a range of gaming accessories including a backpack for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, a contactless charger, gamepads and a light stand. The Tron: Evolution games will launch on November 26th on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii.

Monster will launch Tron over-ear headphones, an iPod dock and in-ear headphones, while Razer is planning a gaming mouse, keyboard and mouse mat.

Moving on, and the toy line will include action figures featuring impulse projection technology, which brings the characters to life by projecting digitised, illuminated faces onto the helmet, just as in the film. The range features mini, 3.75" and 7.5" action figures. Core and Deluxe vehicles will also be launched, as well as the Tron Zero Gravity Light Cycle which features six-foot light-emitting trails and Air Hogs technology allowing it to be driven on a wall or upside down.
