The Chuggington programme is continuing to swell, with Ludorum adding a raft of new licensees across a number of categories.
New partners include Worlds Apart (pop up play and ready beds), Abbey Home Media (audio books), Wesco (watches and gifts) and Ethos (personal care).
In addition, BBS has been appointed as licensee for party stationery throughout Continental Europe, while Hallsall has extended its agreement for Chuggington bikes, scooters, trikes, bike accessories and protective clothing beyond the UK. Products will shortly roll out in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Iberia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Israel.
The new deals come on the back of the worldwide agreement with Mega Brands to produce Chuggington construction toys under its Mega Bloks brand. Product will roll out internationally from autumn 2011, hitting the US from spring 2012.
"We are extremely pleased to welcome our new Chuggington licensees on board," said Julian Day, VP consumer products at Ludorum. "Our new partners are highly respected in their own fields and their products perfectly complement the existing Chuggington range. We look forward to working with them in expanding the Chuggington franchise."
The brand now has 160 licensees, with the TV series having been sold to over 175 countries around the world.
