Rainbow Spa is continuing to build the licensing programme for its new animation Pop Pixie, inking a further two deals in the apparel and back to school sectors this week.
Italian luxury goods company Mirtillo will be producing a range of Pop Pixie branded outerwear in the territory, while Paxos will be rolling out back to school goods in Greece, Cyprus and the Middle East.
Both deals come on the heels of a European master toy agreement and a toy vending machine deal with Bandai.
Pop Pixie will be launching at Brand Licensing Europe and Mipcom and will be available for TV from 2010. The characters already have a fan base, however, having appeared in series two of Winx Club back in 2006.
"As soon as the Pixies appeared on screen they instantly became popular with children, achieving excellent results both in terms of viewer numbers and product sales," explained Iginio Straffi, founder of Rainbow Spa. "For this reason, I decided to give them their own show and a licensing programme tailor-made around the brand."
