Brand Extensions Russia signs partner for Kimmidoll stationery

Academy Group will deliver branded paper, stationery supplies, bags and backpacks to Russian market next July

Brand Extensions Russia has secured a new deal with Russian firm Academy Group to develop a stationery range for the Kimmidoll brand.

Hitting stores across the Russian and CIS territories next July, the product ranges will include branded paper, school stationery supplies and bags and backpacks.

Described by the firm as 'collectable dolls expressing true values', Kimmidolls are rooted in a Japanese cultural institution that has existed for over two centuries.

The brand now enjoys recognition in over 50 countries worldwide.

Maria Sementikhina, licensing manager, Brand Extensions Russia, said: "Kimmidoll is a major brand with vast potential in Russia and the CIS.

"But strong brands need a strong local champion with the respected name. Academy's reputation for outstanding design, marketing and distribution makes it an ideal partner in this market - for both Kimmidoll and BER."

Head of licensing at Academy Group, Tatiana Smirnova, added: "Kimmidoll is one of the world's best known brands and thanks to BER has now reached Russia where it can expect a strong response in numerous categories.
