Advanstar is on course to achieve its target of attracting more than 220 exhibitors to this year's Brand Licensing Europe, revealing today that 100 firms have already signed up with ten months still to go.

This marks an increase of 12 per cent year-on-year and makes the show organiser confident it can beat last year's figure of 196 companies.

The 2008 floor plan already includes such big names as BBC Worldwide, The Beanstalk Group, Chorion, Christie's Images, Dorna Sports, Entertainment Rights, Granada Ventures, Hit Entertainment, Jetix, Lego, Manchester United Merchandising, Target, The Natural History Museum, 20th Century Fox and V&A Enterprises.

Aardman, Bang on the Door, Chapman and RDF Rights have also rebooked after successful debuts in 2007. New exhibitors so far include American Retro Museum, Cartoon Network, Ludorum and Punch Cartoon Library.

Brand Licensing Europe is due to take place on October 1st and 2nd at Olympia's Grand Hall, London. Some 4,294 key players from the industry attended the 2007 event; an increase of eight per cent on 2006.
