Brazillian deal for Lunartics

Cabon Licensing has been chosen to represent the Lunartics brand in Brazil.

The move is part of Lunartics efforts to develop a global presence. Cabon will be working on product licensing and brand development.

Simon Harris, managing director of Lunartics, said: “The great reaction to Lunartics at Licensing International Expo in Las Vegas, our first year of exhibiting at the show, continues to astound me.

The appointment of Cabon in this highly important territory for us is another significant step forward for the Lunartics brand. Cabon’s approach to licensing, portfolio, understanding and most importantly, that is also sees enormous potential for Lunartics is something that we are very excited about."

Cabon Licensing is a Brazilian agent that represents corporate brands, entertainment characters and art properties. President, Sebastiao Bonfa, formerly headed up Hanna Barbera in Brazil and Latin America and was the licensing director at Mauricio de Sousa Produções.

The firm represents international and Brazilian properties such as Jay Jay the Jet Plane, Karen Katz, Rpeng & Bini, The Princess Bride and Freej.

“People are now recognising that the Lunartics brand is without doubt one of global appeal and potential," added Harris. "The next 12 months will see a number of deals finalized and the basis truly laid for a long term and successful licensing programme – us Lunartics can hardly wait."
