Licensing executive Evelyne Brink's quest to become The One and Only has come to an end, after she was voted off the BBC1 talent show on Saturday night.

Brink had performed Madonna's Papa Don't Preach, but once again found herself in the sing off, this time losing out to Diana Ross.

"It’s a great shame that Evelyne wasn’t given chance to progress further on The One and Only, and despite everyone’s efforts, I feel she was a victim of not having home town support," said head of licensing at Coolabi, Janet Woodward.

"However, she’s received fantastic exposure and we’re all confident that her stage career will blossom as a result."
