Brit Chicks head online

New entertainment website due to launch in October.

Brit Chicks Productions is developing a special website for its Brit Chicks brand, due to launch in October and targeting seven to 12 year-old girls.

The site will let girls meet friends, chat and share adventures in an online environment. Each member of the girl group - Eva. Mica and Honey - will be on hand to guide new members through the site, from logging on and creating a new character, through to picking out new wardrobes.

The site will be fully moderated and funded through a monthly membership of £2.99, plus micro purchases. There will also be a level of free play.

Brand Champions, the creators of Brit Chicks, is teaming with Dubit to develop and market the site.

"This is a fantastic time for the Brit Chicks brand, with both a virtual world and musical release in development," said Denise Deane, director of Brit Chick Productions. "We're delighted to have a company as talented and enthusiastic as Dubit on board to work with us on the project."

Ian Douthwaite, MD of Dubit, added: "Virtual worlds have come of age and we're delighted to be working with Brand Champions on this project."

The launch of the site will be supported by a TV campaign, as well as online activity, PR, social media and peer to peer activity.
