British Animation Award finalists revealed

Aardman gets two nominations, while Chapman receives two.

The finalists for the British Animation Awards 2010 have been announced.

Aardman Animations leads the TV category with four nominations: A Matter of Loaf & Death in the Best Animated Special and Best Children's Series for Shaun the Sheep, while both shows are included in the Children's Choice category.

Chapman Entertainment has two nods for Roary the Racing Car - in the Best Pre-school Series and in the Children's Choice section.

Other nominees include Studio A.K.A and Blue Zoo Productions among others.

The awards are due to be held on Thursday April 8th at the British Film Institute Southbank. They reward the work of both new and established animators, feature and short films, animated graphics for film and television, children's series and specials, new media, music videos and commercials.
