Chapman's two hit shows - Fifi and the Flowertots and Roary the Racing Car - are set to fight it out for the honour of Best Pre-school Programme at the Broadcast Awards next year.

The accolades will be handed out at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on January 27th 2010.

Roary the Racing Car's Hellie's A Winner episode - which recently won Best Children's Programme at the Royal Television Society Awards - is up against Fifi's Dandelions episode.

Judges will be looking at creativity, quality, originality and results, including ratings.

"It is such a great achievement and an honour to be nominated for both shows," said Greg Lynn, MD of Chapman and executive producer of the shows. "The team at the studio in Manchester and our production team in London are so dedicated and it is great to see all their efforts rewarded through such a prestigious nomination."
