Broadcasters snap up Pat & Stan

TV-Loonland's new CGI property a hit with international broadcasters.

New TV-Loonland property Pat and Stan has already attracted strong interest from broadcasters on an international scale, with the firm inking a raft of deals.

Amongst those to snap up the show are leading Italian broadcaster Mediaset and Germany's ARD/HR. Pat & Stan will also be airing on Ki.Ka.

In addition, Cartoon Network Spain has licensed the property, along with Disney India, VOOM HD Networks/Animania USA, DR TV Denmark, TG4 Ireland and Minimax for Eastern Europe. In Italy, Pat & Stan already has DVD distribution with DNC.

A co-production between French animation producer MacGuff and TF1 in France, Pat & Stan is comprised of an 'Indiana Jones-esque' half hour TV special, a total of 350 shorts, karaoke skits and gags and the 39xseven-minute series, currently in production and set for delivery at the end of 2008.

The duo were made famous by their performance of The Lion Sleeps Tonight - seen by more than 20 million individuals worldwide on YouTube so far.
