Bulldog Licensing signs collectables brand, Shopkins

Bulldog Licensing has signed a new agreement to represent the hit new girls’ collectible brand, Shopkins.

A range of grocery themed collectibles, inspired by items from the aisles of a grocery store, the Shopkins brand debuted at this year’s Brand Licensing Europe where it took pride of place on the Bulldog stand.

Produced by the Australian company, Moose toys, the property is popular across the US and Australia and enjoys a strong social media presence.

Bulldog is now looking to tap in to the brand’s growing popularity in the UK by targeting various sectors including back to school, publishing, apparel and plush.

“Shopkins is a massive opportunity for the UK licensing market,” said Bulldog Group MD Rob Corney. “It has massive support from the toy partner, Flair, extremely strong characterization from licensor Moose and a licensing programme that will be growing very quickly based on the reaction we had a t BLE.

“All of the partners involved have a pedigree in delivering brands form the collectible world which offer huge commercial opportunities and longevity.”

With five million views on Shopkins YouTube in less than two months and over five million views on videos posted by independent toy reviewers, Shopkins is looking to be Moose’s biggest brand ever, read a statement from the firm.
