Busy Glu Mobile has added more licensed content to its portfolio.
First up, the firm is rolling out Madagascar 2: Escape 2 Africa, a mobile game based on the forthcoming Dreamworks film. This will be the first title that Glu has developed and published with Dreamworks.
Gamers can play as both Alex the lion and Marty the zebra, with the title including eight levels, plus various mini-tasks and games.
"The team at Glu has done an excellent job of delivering the unique humour and adventure of Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and its characters to the mobile phone," said Chris Hewish, head of interactive for Dreamworks. "The mobile game offers something special for both devoted and casual Madagascar fans around the world."
In addition, Glu will be developing and publishing a mobile game based on Family Guy. It will launch in 2009 following an agreement with 20th Century Fox.
"Family Guy is among the most popular animated comedies on television today and we look forward to translating the show's hilarity and excitement within a fun, interactive and engaging mobile experience," said Jill Braff, senior VP of global publishing at Glu.
