CPLG Sport will be hoping that the already successful licensing programme for West Ham United will grow even further after its inaugural licensee communication day last week.
More than 60 licensees, potential partners and press headed to the Boleyn Ground at Upton Park to hear a variety of speakers and be updated on current activity.
Speakers at the event included Ian Tompkins, head of corporate affairs at West Ham United, plus head of retail Tam Lever and buying and merchandising manager, Eamon McDaid. CPLG Sport MD, Chris Protheroe and Gary Jacobson were also in attendance, along with club legends Tony Gale and Tony Cottee.
"The Communication Day was a fantastic opportunity to welcome all our existing licensees and potential licensees to West Ham United," commented Lever. "We look forward to this becoming a regular annual event at Upton Park."
CPLG Sport's Gary Jacobson added: "We feel strongly that communication is key to building a successful licensing programme. So often licensees, once bought together, have information that is mutally beneficial and great partnerships result."
Trevor Jones, from West Ham licensee Danilo, added: "It's great to be part of such an informative and fun event. West Ham United is a key licence for us and has been since 2007. The impressive loyalty of the fans means there is a real year-round desire for licensed product."
