American Greetings Properties has joined forces with the ToonSeum: Pittsburgh Museum of Comic Art for a retrospective exhibit celebrating 30 years of the Care Bears.

The Care Bears: 30 Years of Caring... and Hugs exhibit will run from June 29th through to August 26th.

The exhibition will focus on the heritage of the Care Bears brand and present a retrospective of the artwork from the original greeting cards and animation, to the new CGI version of Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot.

In addition, the museum will also host a Care Bears Birthday Bash event in late summer.

"The Care Bears messages of caring and sharing are as relevant today as they were when the property was first introduced," said Gabrielle Oliff, VP of brand and marketing for American Greetings Properties. "The exhibit at ToonSeum will show how the property has evolved over the past 30 years and can be enjoyed by fans of all ages."

ToonSeum: Pittsburgh Museum of Cartoon Art is one of only three museums dedicated to cartoon art in the US.
