Spanish production and distribution company Imira Entertainment will be introducing its latest 3D animated series at next month's Cartoon Forum showcase.

Myo & Ga is a co-production with Korea's VOOZ Character Systems and Tooniverse, Korea's leading animation channel. Its visual style combines Matrix-style fight sequences, Manga-inspired animation codes and video game sound effects.

The plot centres on Myo, a rabbit, Ga, a turtle, and their best friend (which just happens to be a chicken). The plan is to track down the mysterious Dragon Pearl of Wong and save the natural world from destruction.

The deal extends Imira's collaboration with Korean companies. In addition to a number of sales to broadcasters in the region, it currently distributes several Korean-produced series such as the Iconix-produced Pororo in Spain.

VOOZ Character Systems, meanwhile, is a specialist in character branding and creator of hit property Pucca.

"With its combination of humour, an innovative visual style and the heartwarming characters of Myo & Ga, we believe this show has all the right ingredients to be a hit," said Sergi Reitg, MD at Imira. "With our partners VOOZ and Tooniverse, we are extremely excited about presenting this project at Cartoon Forum where we will be seeking European broadcast partners."
