Cartoon Network Asia Pacific is launching Gwen this month - an exclusive collection of apparel and accessories aimed at girls.
Featuring Gwen Tennyson from Ben 10, the line is designed for girls aged five to 12. It will make its global debut in Australia via national retailer Big W this month and will continue its Asia Pacific roll out throughout 2010.
As well as a Gwen DVD series and apparel line, a series of other products will launch throughout the year including shoes, bags, publishing, home decoration, back to school, toys, puzzles and outdoor gear.
"The Gwen range was developed based on market feedback that, in addition to being a global powerhouse for boys, the Ben 10 brand was also able to captivate girls who loved the series and could identify with Gwen," explained Dulce Lim-Chen, VP, Asia Pacific, Cartoon Network Enterprises. "It was a natural next step to extend the Gwen experience beyond TV and into retail to cater to this market."
As part of the Australian launch, Cartoon Network has enlisted the support of Olympic Gold Medalist Torah Bright.
