Cartoon Network tunes in to theme parks

Fully branded indoor theme park to open in Kuwait City this year after deal with Future Kid.

Cartoon Network Enterprises and Future Kid & Real Estate Company have teamed up to create a fully branded Cartoon Network indoor theme park in Kuwait City.

This will be the first CN venture into branded theme parks within the EMEA region. It is due to open this year.

With over 3,500 square metres, the park will include Cartoon Network branded games and rides, character costume events, merchandise areas and fun promotions with onsite food and beverage outlets.

"We are thrilled about partnering with Future Kid on this project," said Alan Fenwick, VP of Cartoon Network Enterprises for Europe, Middle East and Asia. "This deal is the first in a long-term theme park strategy and extending kids enjoyment of Cartoon Network by bringing its characters into the physical world."

Rasha Khaled Alghunaim, chairman and MD of Future Kid, added: "This agreement is considered to be one of the major achievements in the history of Future Kid Co."
