Now on the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch, Casper’s Scare School: Costume Closet is aimed at kids aged three to seven, the game is designed with education in mind.

Children can solve puzzles using object recognition and grouping skills as they dress Casper and his friends.

Nicole Blake, executive vice president for global marketing and consumer products, Classic Media, said: "It's been great collaborating with the talented team at Mindshapes. We look forward to bringing the world’s friendliest ghost to kids through this new educational experience."

James Peak, education consultant for Mindshapes, said: "Short-term memory is a critical element of mental agility. We wanted to create a game using a character that children know and love, and Casper the Friendly Ghost is the perfect character to engage children in this scarily good app."
