CCI's animated comedy series Frankenstein's Cat is continuing to woo broadcasters, with Nickelodeon International the latest to acquire the programme.
Nickelodeon will broadcast the show on its feeds in Spain, Benelux, South East Asia, Australia, Latin America and Israel, said a report on Worldscreen. Other broadcasters include CBBC, ABC Australia, France 3 and Cartoon France.
Frankenstein's Cat is aimed at six to 11 year-olds and features the exploits of the frantic feline Nine and his best friend Lottie. It is based on the book by Curtis Jobling and the 2D animated series is produced by Manchester-based puppet masters Mackinnon & Saunders - known for Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride and Bob the Builder - and Paris-based Kayenta Production.
"We are delighted by the acquisition of Frankenstein's Cat," said Jules Borkent, VP of programming at Nickelodeon International. "Nine and Lottie have a universal likeability that will appeal to kids around the world and we're really looking forward to introducing the show to our Nickelodeon audiences."
