Hit Entertainment has sealed a raft of new television distribution deals, including its first broadcast deal with Cbeebies for pre-school property Little Charley Bear.
The show is a co-production with Annix Studios and aims to mix the warmth of classic children's television with high-end animation techniques and humour.
Cbeebies will air Little Charley Bear later this year, running 26-seven-minute episodes. The show has also been licensed to SVT in Sweden and NRK in Norway.
In addition, Cbeebies has also licensed the first CGI series of Bob the Builder for broadcast in 2010.
Elsewhere, Hit has inked a number of new distribution deals across its portfolio of children's shows. France 5 will air both Fireman Sam and the new CGI series of Angelina Ballerina, and has recently launched Thomas & Friends on its pre-school block les ZousZous.
The first CGI series of Bob the Builder has been licensed to terrestrial broadcasters RAI in Italy and Super RTL in Germany. The latter will also broadcast the new CGI Thomas & Friends in 2010.
Scandinavian national broadcaster NRK in Norway, meanwhile, has licensed Clay Play, a new pre-school show currently represented by Hit and produced by Israeli animation studio Smartoonz.
