CBS Consumer Products and Mattel have teamed up to launch a new line of Star Trek models to tie in with the upcoming movie.

Mattel will once again release a range of die-cast models, like it did when the two companies reached an agreement for the 2009 sci-fi movie reboot.

The miniatures – including the iconic USS Enterprise spaceship – will arrive in stores in May 2013. The next Star Trek film will hit cinema screens on May 17th, 2013.

“Excitement is quickly building for the Star Trek sequel, and these durable die-cast models will form part of an extensive selection of fun, quality products inspired by the new movie,” said Liz Kalodner, EVP and general manager of CBS Consumer Products.
