CBS lining up new Star Trek assault

Apparel, board games, busts and collectables all on way during next year.

CBS Consumer Products is rolling out a new batch of Star Trek merchandise, including apparel, collectables and board games.

PPW Toys will be introducing the first Mr Potato Head toy line based on the characters from the original series and The Next Generation to US and Canadian audiences, while Bandai will be offering deck building games based on both.

Titan Merchandise will create busts based on the characters from all eras of Star Trek's existence, which will be sold across a variety of territories including the US, Europe, Africa and Asia.

USAopoly will turn the classic Monopoly game into Klingon Monopoly; Mighty Fine will create Star Trek inspired knit tops, t-shirts, hoodies and fleeces for the US; while Pez Candy will launch a Pez collector's set in 2012 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Next Generation in the US.
