CBS looks for Latin American growth

Firm hires Brazilian licensing agent Supermarcas to develop licensing programmes in the territory.

CBS Consumer Products has sealed a new deal with Brazilian licensing agent Supermarcas.

The firm will now look to develop licensing programmes throughout Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia, Panama and all of Central America for all of CBS' signature brands.

Supermarcas currently handles more than 80 brands in Central and South America. This will be the first time it has worked with CBS.

"With almost a quarter century of experience dedicated to bringing proven brands to new audiences in Latin America, Supermarcas is the ideal representative for CBS Consumer Products," said Liz Kalodner, EVP and general manager.
