Celebrities and fans of Disney’s award-winning Frozen filled the Royal Albert Hall last night to take part in the first Frozen sing-along event.
The gathering kicked off a series of Frozen sing-along events across the UK, inviting fans to sing to the film’s popular songs in the lead up to Christmas.
Amanda Holden, Jo Whiley, Angela Griffin and Michelle Heaton were among the thousands who attended the Frozen sing-along session and were joined by a children’s choir made up from pupils from 11 London-based schools.
Teaming with Yamaha Music, Disney will now host sing-along sessions at shopping locations throughout the UK, commencing with London’s Oxford Street Disney Store on November 18th.
Led by professional singers and pianists, the sessions will take place around a specially created Yamaha frozen piano – one of two in the world.
Furthermore, Disney will be re-releasing the sing-along version of the film across cinemas from November 28th, coinciding with the release of the Disney Frozen Sing-Along Edition on DVD and Blu-Ray from November 24th.
“It’s the season to have some fun and enjoy a sing song and Let It go has certainly struck a chord with the many fans of Disney’s Frozen the world over,” said Anna Hill, spokesperson for The Walt Disney Company UK and Ireland.
“We want to give everyone up and down the UK who has fallen in love with the story and its characters fun opportunities to join Disney and have a go at Let It Go.
“Whether it’s in the cinema, at home or while out and about doing some Christmas shopping, we can’t wait to see fans enjoying and embracing the music.”
