Chapman and Roary go Bionic

New media agency creates original game to complement successful pre-school show.

Chapman Entertainment has bolstered its alreadt successful Roary the Racing Car website with the addition of a new game, created by kids new media agency Bionic Communications.

Chapman wanted Pit Stop Panic to reflect the blend of stop frame animation and CGI, as well as maintaining the fast pace and action of the show on the web.

The game focuses on one of the integral locations in many of the show's storylines, the Pit Stop, and along with Roary himself incorporates Big Chris, voiced by Peter Kay. It features a mix of racing footage taken from the show and original content put together by Chapman and Bionic.

"We are delighted with the new Roary game which has added another fun and interactive feature to the hugely popular Roary site," said Chloe Grant, project and design manager at Chapman.

Bionic's MD Paul Walker added: "This was our first online project for Chapman and as such we wanted to create a game which ticked all the boxes in terms of fresh creative, fun gameplay and stickiness for the Roary site, and we achieved in all of these areas which is very pleasing."
