Chapman renews Fifi deals

Vivid and Harper Collins continue support for top selling pre-school girls brand.

Chapman Entertainment has extended two of its major licensee relationships for Fifi and the Flowertots.

Master toy licensee Vivid Imaginations has signed a further three-year licensing renewal for the property, beginning from January 2010. Vivid has a global manufacturing deal with UK distribution rights.

"We really enjoy working with the team at Chapman Entertainment," said Emma Sherski, marketing and licensing director at Vivid. "Fifi is a high quality, original brand and we continue to see her grow from strength to strength and surpass our very high expectations."

Meanwhile, Harper Collins has agreed a five-year global renewal (excluding America) on its existing contract - which was due to expire in July 2009. Since launch, Harper Collins has sold over one million Fifi titles.

"Fifi has been a great success for Harper Collins since launch, both in the UK and internationally, and we are delighted to be able to continue our partnership with Chapman to plan for the long-term growth of the brand," said Harper Collins MD, Mario Santos.

Valerie Fry, Chapman's director of licensing, added: "We are extremely pleased that both Harpers and Vivid have entered into new contracts with us. Both renewals emphasise the longevity and evergreen status of Fifi and her flowertot friends."
