Character World has scored - in its own words - a major coup, signing an umbrella agreement with Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products.

The deal will see the popular licensee develop and produce bedroom textiles, furniture and toweling products for Nickelodeon brands in the UK and Ireland.

Properties covered will include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, plus Victorious, Spongebob Squarepants, Winx Club and Dora the Explorer.

Part of the umbrella deal includes the production of duvet covers, cushion covers, fleece blankets and sleeping bags.

"We are so proud to be working with a market leader such as Character World, and this agreement shows their confidence in Nickelodeon's characters and brands," said Mark Kingston, VP consumer products UK, Australia, Russia, Israel & CEE, retail sales and trade marketing Europe. "The opportunity to team Nickelodeon's creative expertise with Character World's enviable range of innovative product lines means that families are set to go from bath time to bedtime surrounded by Nickelodeon with fun, unique, quality products."

Tim Kilby, director at Character World, added: "To secure an umbrella deal with Nickelodeon is a major coup for Character World. We're extremely excited to introduce new product ranges featuring favourite Nickelodeon characters into the marketplace."
