The recent Amazing Great Children’s Party, held in London’s Battersea Park, was attended by a number of licensed characters including Kindle Entertainment’s Big & Small and TV Loonland’s Little Princess.
The event is the largest annual children’s party in the world and each child is sponsored to attend through a national fundraising appeal, spearheaded this year by Des O’Connor. Now in its 22nd year, the Party is organised by Children with Leukaemia and The Variety Club of Great Britain, who invite 6,000 children aged between four and 12.
The Big & Small character costume is produced by Rainbow Productions and is based on the two main stars of the show. The characters met fans and their families, posed for photos and appeared alongside pop band Blazin’ Squad, comedian Russ Abbott and Birds of a Feather actress Linda Robson.
Elsewhere, fellow pre-school favourite Little Princess was joined by creator Tony Ross – author and illustrator of the book series – in a dedicated tent area where he was giving families exclusive illustrated designs and signed autographs.
