As the Mr Men brand celebrates its 40th birthday this year, property owner Chorion has sealed a number of deals in Brazil.

A direct-to-retail deal with C&A will see the brand appear on a range of big and small clothing in 170 stores.

From August, Foroni will launch notebooks across a spread of different sized retailers and Duraplast will develop Mr Men flip-flops.

Xeryus is to make four styles of handbags for young adults which will be ready in time for the Francal trade Show in June.

Buba has already introduced Mr Men collectible figurines at the 2011 Abrin Trade Show in April.

Steve Cipolla, EVP of global licensing and sales at Chorion, said: “Latin America is a key region for us and we are pleased to partner with Exim Licensing to extend the Mr Men and Little Miss franchise to an entirely new audience.”
