Chuggington steams onto Rai Yoyo

Ludorum seals deal with the Italian public broadcaster; show to launch in late 2011.

Having made its Italian debut on Disney Italy in December 2009, Ludorum has now struck a deal with the territory's public broadcaster - Rai Yoyo - for Chuggington.

The channel has acquiried the first series of 52 x ten-minute episodes, which will launch later this year.

"This is an important deal which further enhances Chuggington's exposure in the key Italian market," said Clara Wooller, VP international sales at Ludorum. "We're delighted to have secured such a prestigious partner as Rai Yoyo, and with the support of Rai, Disney Italy and an impressive raft of licensees, we are confident that Chuggington will grow into a significant franchise in the territory."

Licensees in Italy for Chuggington include DeAgostini, Giochi Preziosi, Ravensburger, Zaini, Dolfin, Marini Silvano, BBS and Universal among others.
