City of Friends celebrates UK success

CreaCon?s new pre-school show reaches over 1.3 million viewers.

TV viewing statistics have shown that City of Friends, the new pre-school show from Norwegian firm CreaCon has got off to a strong start in the UK, reaching more than 1.3 million viewers.

The show is currently ranked the fifth most popular video on demand show across all Channel Five programming.

Since launching in the UK in October 2011, City of Friends has increased its share of viewing among children by almost 40 per cent. For children aged four to nine, this share has increased by more than 50 per cent in February.

As well as airing daily on Milkshake, the show has now been added to Channel Five’s weekend line-up.
“City of Friends continues its incredible trajectory of growth in both the UK and in other international markets,” said Carl Christian Hamre, CEO of CreaCon Group. “We are delighted that our audience in the UK has responded so positively to the show and we are looking forward to launching our UK licensing programme in 2012 to support the show’s popularity.”
