Pre-school kids' TV show City of Friends will air in Russia later this year.

Sky Vision has signed a distribution deal with Russia's Carousel TV for the Norwegian show, which is produced by CreaCon Group.

Carousel TV has acquired the rights to air two series which each consist of 26 ten-minute episodes. It will be shown daily on the channel, which is part of Channel One Group.

Carousel TV has an audience of more than 51 million viewers across the country.

CreaCon appointed Sky Vision to handle its global TV sales in 2009. Since then it has been sold into over 180 countries worldwide, including the UK (Channel 5) and France (France TV).

Carl Christian Hamre, CEO of CreaCon Group, said: "We are delighted to be taking City of Friends to a brand new audience in Russia and expanding our reach in this important and strategic market.

"Sky Vision has done a great job in securing a best-in-class partner with Carousel TV and we look forward to building a strong City of Friends fanbase in Russia."
