The relaunch of the classic Voltron franchise is continuing apace, with Classic Media revealing a number of new consumer products partners in the US.
Mattel is already on board as master toy partner, while THQ will be producing video games based on the franchise.
The duo will now be supported by The Bentex Group via its Extreme Concepts division (t-shirts/tops) and its Dreamwave division (swimwear/sleepwear); Rubie's (costumes); Viz Media (kid's graphic novels for Voltron Force); and Dynamic Forces (new comic books and graphic novels for classic Voltron).
The animated series, Voltron Force, is due to debut in the US on Nicktoons this summer.
"We are excited to reintroduce Voltron with top consumer products partners on board," said Karyn Schneider, VP licensing at Classic Media.
